The much delayed KES45bn (US$346.6m) Devki Group West Pokot clinker plant was finally launched on Monday by Kenya's President William Ruth. Adani Group Chairman, Gautam Adani, has announced that Adani Cementation (ACL) will be the name of a new company to set up a 10Mta clinker plant with an investment of INR55,000m (US$809.1m). Savannah Cement, one of Kenya's newest market entrants, is set to build two new plants as it nears exhaustion of its current capacity, managing director, Ronald Ndegwa, said.
